A Few Words

We are pleased to welcome you to our learning community. Our school is committed to providing each student with a strong, Christ-centered education under the guidance and example of trained, dedicated and loving, Christian teachers. Each staff member embraces their calling to train each child entrusted to our care in all areas of life - academically, spiritually, physically, and socially.

Our primary goal is to lead each child into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

We aim to ensure that each student will:

1. Experience an understanding of what it means to have a relationship with Jesus Christ.

2. Show character that reflects Jesus Christ.

3. Let their unique giftedness be expressed in serving others.

4. Resolve to increase in learning (knowledge) and thinking (wisdom) continually.

5. Support and respect his/her family in a manner that honors God.

At GVCS, we believe in holistic education that weaves together the elements of character, competence, and community. In holding students to high standards of academic competence and providing the character training necessary to maintain those high standards, we encourage and provide opportunities for our students to strive for excellence in all that they do and to utilize that drive for excellence to engage as healthy members of their community, beginning with their own families.  It is this combination of character, competence, and community that we believe provides an optimal learning experience for each of our students.
